Problem overclocking E8400 on EP45-DS3R Gigabyte & Corsair Dominator
Hello everyone,
Before buying, I read some where that the E8400 overclock it as anything.
i have An E8400 with Corsair PC8500 Dominator 2x1Gb all on a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R.
Problem is, impossible to climb above 3.2 Ghz.I've tried everything that i know.I once succeeded by a little amount of RAM vCore is getting in 3.5 Ghz, Vista starts but still recognizes as a 3Ghz @ 3Ghz (although it is on the CM to 3.5 Ghz) and I once asked a little effort, blue screen and dump I'd say it's from memory but it seems to me quite strange anyway.
If someone could give me a little light, I would be extremely grateful

its all about try and test hope you tried vCore auto, manual, the vCore of RAM auto, manual, a coefficient with a lower FSB above, a higher FSB with a lower coef if not then try it.

Corsair is well in the configure without OC, if you can change it takes some Great Skill. And if not the Vram is what? I know my GSkill should be 2.10v to OC to 1.8 or its not working. if you set the frequency of the PCI-e to ~ 100MHz
as you keep "auto", it rises along with the FSB ...

This is the Vram is too low for your OC told you that I am to 2.10 for the validated PC8500, 1.8 is for the PC6400 then your problem is solved nomal.
