Hello all,
this is my first thread on this forum, so if it's not working well, forgive!
I have a problem with my HP compaq 6710b laptop with the internal microphone. U have avista business platform. I want to use it to make calls on skype, but accidentally disenabled the microphone a couple of weeks ago. I have gone to the control panel - sound section several times, but it now doesnt even have the icon for the mike - and thus can not be simply re-enabled.
Any help??
Have you got the appropriate driver for it from the laptop vendors website for Vista support ?
Other way if you know your microphone was working well before you turned the accidentally disabled the microphone a couple of weeks ago. You can just go to control panel & restore your system to 1 month back!

Its quite a simple way to re-enable the mic icon in the volume control. just follow the simple method :
- Click on the sound icon on the taskbar then click on mixer.
- now click on options and then click on properties.
- now select all the options you want to show in the mixer so that you can adjust its volume level.
