Can someone please help me. I got this computer from a friends business when they no longer wanted it. There is some sql server and all this weird stuff blocking me from doing as i please. I cannot install or delete any programs, I cant free up any space on the computer, I really cannot do anything. All i want to do is set this computer up the way I want it and no have to deal with all this administrator bullshit.
just restart computer in safe mode there login from administrator account uninstall all unnecessary application and and then try again in normal way. as you have this computer from a friend my opinion is initially you must format it and install new copy of windows that will be most better option.
first of all the problem is not so critical as you are taking it...
Just format all drive's and delete all the partitions.....
similarly as you do this the old and not required permission as well as certain features will get remove and you can set this machine in your own best way

you can do one thing, Just go to the Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add or Remove programs then there you could select the application which you don't want on your system, and like that way you could free the space on your computer system.
or else check for the application it has been installed it may be there in the c:/Program files/application_name there also you may get the Uninstallation icon for that application try removing from there.
