Overclock E8400
Hello everyone,
Currently I am 4GHz with my E8400 and I'd like to mount a little more to see how far I can mount it.
My configuration:
E8400
GTS 512 730/1825/1052
GA-P35 DS3R
4 Gb PC6400 DDR2 800 mhz
My bios settings:
Frequency: 9x445mhz
PCI Express: 101 MHz
RAM Timing: 5-5-5-15
Ram voltage: +0.2 V
VCore: 1.35000 V
I went up to 4.2 Ghz by increasing the vCore to 1.4 V but I OCCT detects an error, therefore I'd like to know if it's because of my ram that I can not rise above ...

Re: Overclock E8400
it seems to be that the problem is coming from the ram, there should be a pc8500 to mount the more I think and at the same time the 54 strong it would absorb the snow .

Re: Overclock E8400
Actually 70 degrees max core for use in 24H. And we must not exceed a vCore of 1.45v for use 24H. Use your real time to inform you of the temperature of the cores because Occt tends to exaggerate.

Re: Overclock E8400
For the cores can go up to 80 ° under OCCT any worse and so he should know that a computer does not casement therefore a 100% good Real temp says values more real) and under yes 24/24 vo better not exceed 1.45 V.
