Problem with Address Bar

Hello Guys,

I have installed Windows Xp on my system and i'm using Internet Explorer 6 as my web browser. I'm having problem with my address bar, whenever i type any thing on my address bar and click on "Go", my address bar seems to be in blue colour.:crybaby:If even i try to open any file and then try to type any web address it shows nothing and also when i try to close the windows it doesn't respond. Can any one tell me what can i do to resolve this issue? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Hey Firstly delete your temporary internet files and cookies,via Tools-->Internet options-->General tab. Also on the general tab hit the clear history button. Then,also in internet options, on the advanced tab scroll down the list and make sure "Use inline AutoComplete" is unchecked. And then Click apply. Now try to type any web address on your address bar and check out whether you still have the same problem.

You can also do a System Restore by going to your Start Menu, then select All Programs in that select Accessories. Then click on System Tools and select System Restore and just follow the instructions.
Do a system restore to a day when it worked. That usually works.

Most of the times, doing System Restore helps to resolve the issues.:thumbup1:
