Educational Qualification: (As on January 01, 2009)
Degree in any discipline from a Recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
OR
A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3) pattern/11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/ Pre-University or any equivalent examination/Diploma in banking recognized by Central/State Government or U.T administration.
OR
A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th Std. examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.
For SC/ST/EX-Servicemen/PWD, the educational qualification is relaxed as below:
A pass in HSC examination (10+2) of 10+2+3 pattern/11th Std. examination of 11+1+3 pattern/Pre-University or equivalent examination.
OR
A pass with 50% marks in the aggregate in matriculation/SSC (old pattern) SSLC/IO* Std. in (10+2+3) pattern or equivalent examination.

How to Apply:
Candidate must Apply Online through Central Bank Website www.centralbankofindia.co.in between February 14, 2009 and March 14, 2009. No other means/mode of applications will be accepted.
The guidelines for filling applications on-line are given as under:
The candidate should have their Demand Draft ready before applying on-line, as the DD details are required to be entered in the on-line application. Without the valid DD details, data will not be registered. The DD should not be dated before 14/02/2009 and not after 14/03/2009. Even if the Bank extends the date of on-line registration by one or two days, the valid dates of demand draft will not be changed.
After applying on-line, the registered candidates should obtain a system generated printout of the application. The system generated printout of the application should be signed by the candidate and sent along with:

1) The application fees in the form of DD favouring "Central Bank of India - Recruitment of Clerks 2009" payable at Mumbai for Rs. 50/- (Fifty only) for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates and Rs`. 250/- (Two hundred & fifty only.) for other candidates.
2) Required certificates/testimonials.
3) Photograph pasted in the given place and signed across.

Syllabus and Pattern of Written Test:
A) Written Test:
a. Objective Tests: The Objective tests consists of
(i) Test of Reasoning Ability
(ii) Test of English Language
(iii) Test of Numerical Ability
(iv) Test of Clerical Aptitude
There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the objective test. The candidates shall be required to qualify in the objective test separately. Test of English is qualifying and carries no weightage in the total marks for the Written Test. The time duration will be 95 minutes and each test will be of 50 questions.
