Linking a static ip to my server
Hi guys. Please excuse me as my knowledge is rather limited. I am eager to learn more about computers and the Internet.
I am currently based in South Africa. We use a tracking program to locate our vehicles. The program requires a server and a static IP.
Static IP is rather expensive in SA. Will it be possible for me to rent a static IP outside my country eg. Taiwan and still link it to my server.
Our Clients use the static IP to link themselves to our tracking software using an Internet connection.
Will Dyndns be an option.
Thanks!

Try some Dynamic DNS softwares. These softwares link your Dynamic IP address to your server. These software is used when you do not have a static IP. This site may help you : https://www.dnsexit.com/ Instead of buying IP from other countries, it is recommended that you buy the IP from your country. It would be too to re-direct traffic from an IP from other country to your Server, Logically not possible! Use the Dynamic DNS software or buy IP from your service provider.
