Changing Owners Name on Used Computer
Hello,
Few days Back ,I purchased a Second hand used and it is good working condition but when i open it has all the previous owner files and folder. although i deleted the file. but the name of the owner remains, i would like to rename it to my name please help.So Someone can please tell me How can I change it to my name thanks in advance.

Try this for renaming your pc
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
- To change the company name, do the following:
- In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOrganization. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.
- To change the name of the registered owner, do the following:
In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOwner. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.
- Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor.

it you want to rename it on network then right click my computer,click properties then click rename (under network id tab properties)
