Hello,
Here is my configuration
Windows xp sp2.
pro-shuttle SX38P2.
power supply- 450W-80 +.
ram- 2gb
intel-E8400.
PowerColor ATI-4870.
I encounter a bug when starting the PC the display is non-existent and the screen is greenish white.The drivers are installed and also a first patch. For the display, I have to disconnect the plug and plug dvi.
Someone would have already seen that?
Have you tried setting it at 1920x1080 and then rebooting the system with the TV powered up first?
Just curious what color is the DVI to HDMI adapter... Black or Grey? (Many of the very first HDMI adapters that were black and said revision A and B were faulty as I have 10+ dead ones here.
Have you got desktop effects enabled ? This can lead to the flickering ( bug in drivers )Turn off all the fancy eye candy ( Customize Desktop>Desktop>Desktop Effects ) and see if that helps. it appears that changing the vga cable for the dvi display problems disappeared! Otherwise if you branch to another screen that gives what result t gives.
Have you both tried a complete driver uninstall using the catalyst driver uninstall and then booting in safe mode and using driver cleaner pro to remove all ATI software and then a reinstall of 8.7 catalyst drivers ?The most common cause of the game crashing in Vista is sound card drivers.
