Hi,
firefox browser is running very slow. I have opera browser too and it's alot faster than Firefox browser but I need Firefox to load pages faster because there's things I can do on Firefox that I can't do in Opera browser. can anyone help me plz. how to make it run faster?
Type "about:config" into the address line, then find:
network.http.pipelining -- make sure it's "true"
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests -- and set to 30-ish.
How much RAM do you have in the machine? Firefox requires at least 128 MB, and more is better. It's also a good idea to not have many applications.
If you using Adblock Plus extension . One of the main causes of Firefox slowdown is the popular Adblock Plus extension. Running side-by-side a Firefox with Adblock Plus and another one without it, I measure the startup time of both applications and was amazed to discover that the first one takes 7-8 seconds to launch on my computer while the second one needed the half. That's a 50% speed difference! The fact is that, besides of the startup performance gain, I also noticed a better general responsiveness when running Firefox without Adblock Plus.
