No Display When Hard-Disk Connected.
Hey Guys!
I have bought a 500 GB SATA Hard disk from Western Digital. I tried to change the partitions sizes that I had created earlier with Paragon Hard Disk Manager and now i'm using Partition Magic. In the middle of the process the system said "Disk Failed" ! I re-started the system and then my system is not getting display. It does not even show the boot process. Seems only fans are working. I used my previous HDD that was an IDE one. The system boots properly while the old hard-disk is installed. What can be done with my new hard-disk? Help Me guys!
Re: No Display When Hard-Disk Connected.
Seems like you crashed hard drive. When you connect the hard drive, does it power up? Does it give any sound? Like something is grinding or similar? If your hard drive give you grinding or ticking sound, you have definitely crashed your hard drive. Its your new hard drive right? so why don't you replace it from the service center as it is under warranty!
Re: No Display When Hard-Disk Connected.
No, There is no sound from the hard disk, i think it does not even spinning. i can't feel any motion or vibration sort of thing. When i remove the data cable of the hard disk and let the power cable on then too the hard disk does not show any signs of powering up.
Re: No Display When Hard-Disk Connected.
As suggested by Fame, go and get your hard disk replaced from Western Digital's service center. Your hard disk is dead. it isn't powering up. When it is connected to the system doen't even let the system to function. It might cause some more damage to other parts of your machine, so better change your hard disk!
