Sound Card driver for VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller
Hi folks,
I have recently formatted my pc and have not since ton more, and so, I need a sound drivers ....... I know what I need, but looks correct because I find not.

Installing procedure VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM) driver.
- Download file for VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM) from VIA siteor from here, save it on your computer and unzip.
- Connect your VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM) to computer.
- Right click on My computer and click Properties. Go to Hardware tab. Click to Device Manager button.
- Find your new VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM) on media category double click on device and press Reinstall Driver button.
- Select Install from specific location, check Include this location and click Browse button to select the VIAdriver click Next button to continue and click Finish button to finish installation.
- After this procedure you should see new VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM) in media inside device manager.

Hi, I have a problemwith Fujitsu Siemens X From Hell PC as I have formatted it. Now I find the drivers CD and no longer need but for my nice Logitech 5.1 sound system a driver, please help me

Hey there, im having a slight problem with this.
After I run the WDM and get to the " Installing/Updating Ac97 " Part, my computer crashes. Do you know why this is happening, and can you help me out please?

Hey!
Try to install the drivers from device manager>right-click on the driver>properties>driver tab>reinstall/update driver> locate the WDM folder>continue..! This will solve your problem. All the best!

Hey man,
thanks for your time and effort to help me fix my problem. Unfortunately, i have done that. When I get to a certain stage of re-installing the files, my computer crashes and brings me to the blue error screen =\ Any other solution?

Can you retrive the information that appears on the blue screen? May be that could help us know why it is occuring? May be some other hardware is at fault!? You cannot install the drivers in safemode else it would have worked... :biggrin: Post what is written in Technical Information, File that caused it etc from the blue screen. May be your sound device is damaged... But can't just assume... Do post back! All the best!

Haha, well I guess it would be logical to assume that my device is damaged. Anyways, here's the info.
