Problem opening a ASP.Net project in Visual Studio 2005

I don't understand why but I am not able to open a project I have downloaded from the Internet from a forum.
Can you please let me understand why am not able to open in with Visual studio 2005 File - Project Solution?

Can you tell us from where you have downloaded the project?

There is a possibility that the file is may be corrupt or you have not properly downloaded the file.

One more thing you must check is if you know that you can open any .aspx file in word editor?

Well thanks for the prompt reply but I have downloaded the file 3 times but still am unable to open it?
Any other option?

Well Do you receive any error while you try to open the .sln file?

May be you can try opening it in Visual Studio 2008!
