It takes too long to burn a DVD
Hey everyone,
I'm having a problem while burning any dvd, it takes more than 45 minutes to burn a dvd. I don't understand why i'm facing such problem while burning any dvd disc? Can any one tell me how can i resolve such problem? Any kind of information would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Re: It takes too long to burn a DVD
It seems to be that your drive is in PIO mode rather than being in to DMA, If it is in PIO mode change it to DMA.
Re: It takes too long to burn a DVD
It can be due to various reasons.
1) Many services running on your pc while burning any dvd disc.
2) It can be also due to fragmented files.
3) Try to update your optical firmware if any of the above mention reasons doesn't work.
4) If you still face the same problem again then it seems to be the problem with your software. For that go for some freeware burning software.

Try to change your VBS by going into Control Panel, then select System under that select Hardware and click on Device Manger. In that you will find IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, check out whether all the drives are to be in DMA and not in PIOs. If you find any drive under PIO, then uninstall that particular drive and reboot your system.
