HP Pavilion 6700dv connection problem
Hello everyone,
I want to connect my laptop HP Pavilion 6700dv (equipped with an HDMI) on my LG LCD TV. As for the picture: No worries, it's perfect, but I have no sound on my TV.
I emphasize a few points
- Yes, it is a HDMI cable and not a DVI
- In the mixer volume is well set as specified on user manual, not on (speaker), but on the second option (SPDIF Interface).
Finally note something very disturbing ...if I make a test of the sampling rate in the properties SPDIF sound still happening on my TV 44.1 khz and 48khz not 96khz... but no other sound of windows, so no sound for movies.
please help me!!!
Re: HP Pavilion 6700dv connection problem
Do you have a SPDIF output on your PC ? On mine I did not, only the HDMI, for your information i have Dell XPS with nVidia 8400M.
Re: HP Pavilion 6700dv connection problem
The SPDIF interface is the sound through HDMI on a laptop. I have slightly different problem that you mention. I made the manip with my HP Pavilion Dv9649ef and Sony successfully.
Re: HP Pavilion 6700dv connection problem
Hey, my problem got solved, As I said, the test 96khz not working and by coincidence, in the advanced tab stat capture above, the PC was set to: Canal24bits, 96000Hz by default. We just switched to one of 2 operating frequencies either in the occurrence Canal 16bits, 48000Hz . We also checked the following 3 options "DTS Audio", "Dolby Digital" and "Microsoft WMA Pro Audio. and everything works fine now.
