How can i reduce the writing speed of a DVD
Hello Friends
I would like to reduce the writing speed of my DVD writer, i have a Sony DVD writer attach on my system. Whenever i try to reduce the speed of my DVD writer while burning any blank DVD, it doesn't show me an option for reducing the speed. I would like to burn my DVD at a very slow speed in order to play that particular DVD on my DVD player because it does not play a DVD having high writing capacity on it.:crybaby: Does any one have any idea about it? Any kind of information would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I think the problem is with the Firmware which tells the OS about the applications what should be option available to read/write speeds.:whistling
Try to upgrade your Firmware from the internet. If you look under your DVD/CD ROM drives in the device manager that should tell you that which version of the firmware is it.
If the problem still persists try to uninstall and then try to re-installing from your Device Manager.

It seems to be that your burning software may have corrupted. Nero 7 is one of the best writing applications that I use to write data CD's and DVD's.:thumbup1:
