On my LAN I have server running on Win2003, i always need access all for files.and having always input the username and password to access the network shares.Is it possible to modify Win2003 so that it dont need a password and username for the network shares. please reply me if this is possible . thank you.
for that you have to enabled the guest account on your win2003 machine.
Enable guest account,
browse through the policy editor to the security policies to allow Guest account to log on locally,
see if it's in the list of accounts to be denied logon remotely.
Run gpedit.msc
Enable "Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users"
Disable "Network access: Restrict anonymous access to Named Pipes and Shares"
