How to Integrate SP2 with Windows XP installation?
Hi everyone! i have a geniune Windows XP. I have downloaded SP2 from microsoft. everytime i crash my system, i have to install windows xp and then service pack 2. is there a way to integrate sp2 with the windows CD and make the whole integration as bootable?
Re: How to Integrate SP2 with Windows XP installation?
Copy your XP cd to a folder XP-CD and copy your service pack to a folder XP-SP2.
now open command prompt, goto the folder where you copied service pack 2 and run :
Code:
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU /integrate:D:\XP-CD
First, the files will be extracted, and next they will be integrated in your Windows XP files.
When ready, you should get a confirmation. Windows XP Service Pack 2 has now been Slipstreamed into your original Windows XP files.
Extract windows xp boot info from your windows xp cd using iso buster software [its a freeware].
Now to make your setup bootable see this thread 2nd post : http://forums.techarena.in/operating...ms/1098805.htm
