hello,
I got this error message "SQL Server does not allow remote connections".
I have deployed my new ASP.NET 3.5 site to my hosting company & i got the above error message. Server Error in '/myuser4/MyWebApp' Application.
Any one knows about this error?
First i would like to ask you if you have checked your IP address?
If this is correct i think you must check the remote connection allowing is configured with SQL Server's Surface Area configuration tool here you will find options like local connections only OR local & remote connections.
If this wont helps then contact your hosting provider.
Well i think this may be due to following things can be any one or more from these things.
1. Your firewall (Network blocking connection)
2. Your connection string may be wrong (Port No.& name)
3. Connection is not being established!
Well i am using correct Connection string but the database is different.
The other websites are working without any problem.
