C:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe
I am running Windows XP on my computer and I am getting some problem with C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RUNDLL32.EXE. I am not able to open the control panel but finally when I went to start and then in Run typed appwiz.cpl I was able to open those folders. But I am still getting a message that says C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RUNDLL32.EXE application not found. If I try to go to run and then type cmd then a Windows opens up saying that "open with" all the time, is there any fix to this problem.
Re: C:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe
Can you try to restore the rundll32.exe file from your Windows XP Cd? You can try to open a command prompt and then expand the cd drive with the following command: \i386\rundll32.ex_ %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe

Even I am facing this similar kind of problem and I was not able to get the cmd prompt and typed in the expand thing, but it said that there was no destination specified for the command. So, will you tell me whether there is some more to the command line or what?
