Re: Akasa Evo 120 HeatSink
This fan is fastened to the upright on a radiator composed of 52 finned aluminum 120x90x3 mm. These are crossed by 3 thick heat pipes with a diameter of 8 mm. The copper heatpipes are also very long, since each measure 20 centimeters. They are connected to the base which is also copper. It is possible to set a single 120 mm fan since the second side of the radiator does not provide any documentation. When we observe the radiator, there is a fifth of the airflow is useless since the fins 51 that represented only 9 inches in height while the fan is 120 mm. The total height of the EVO 120 is on its side of 145 mm with a weight of 530 grams.

Re: Akasa Evo 120 HeatSink
This Akasa Evo 120 is compatible with socket 478/754/775/939 and 940. It therefore fits on all motherboards. The installation on socket 754/939/940 is the fastest although withdrawing the holding of origin. We must keep against the back plate that will come to stay two screws. Before that it took two extensions screwed to the base metal copper. These extensions vary depending on the socket which is installed on the Evo 120.

On the socket 478 and 775, is more laborious installation without being complicated. We need to use a plate under the motherboard, insert four screws which come to screw four bolts from the top of the motherboard. It then poses the ventirad on the processor and uses four bolts to consolidate everything. These operations must be done without the fan on pain of not being able to set all the screws. The fan is then simply fixed by four screws further.

Conclusion :
As for disappointments, Akasa Evo and also the Asetek Micro Vapochill very expensive, not particularly efficient and not very discreet. In addition there is only one socket at a time, therefore preventing any progression. We also expected more of Akasa Evo 120, too expensive and offering average performance.
