Using ATI 4850 with a CRT monitor
Do anyone use a 4850 card with a CRT? Have you changed the refresh frequency and noticed some results?
I have the Gainward HD 4850 GS (1 GB) and it does not refresh frequency (otherwise it is perfect)
I use two screens (dual screen), a TFT and a CRT and having different combination of settings and connections. After mono screen with the CRT - I discovered this problem. It is likely on 60 Hz (as we see it is uncomfortable to the eye). On the parameters (display property-> setting-> advanced-> monitor) I will climb to 200 hertz without more comfort for the eyes
Can anyone help?
Re: Using ATI 4850 with a CRT monitor
Hello, yes I did that on a 22'' CRT monitor, and the frequency I am having is 100 Hz with 1280 x 960 resolution and catalyst 08.10.
Re: Using ATI 4850 with a CRT monitor
Thank you for your reply.
You got 100 Hz, what is displayed in parameter? But is it that you are sure it is the frequency used by the monitor?
About me, I can run at 200 Hz but in fact it remains at 60
Re: Using ATI 4850 with a CRT monitor
HIS HD 4850 IceQ 1GB, the CRT is a 100 MHz and when I changed the frequency of this; the size of the screen changes, must be careful with some CRT it does not respond beyond a certain frequency and one day I got black screen .....

I had this thing with my CRT, if I remember correctly, this is a problem in Vista, finally, because I had Vista.
