Additional Memory

I have an old AMD Athlon 1000 model that uses DDR SDRAM memory to 184 pins. I currently have 2 GB of memory.
I have some difficult to access another program or internet time that I convert flv files to AVI. That is discouraging.
My card allows me 3 GB of memory.
Believe :blink: ...
1. 1 that most will go to improve my performance and I did in any game that requires memory.

2. Is it that I can install DDR 400 MHz or 266 MHz.

My only problem is the slowness above mentioned.

You do not say what you have Windows on the PC, I guess it Xp?

I do not cross that adding memory to change something, even
if you go 8 added, is that the processor is not fast and it
blocks in the treatment of adult programs.

go further give a gain of performance of 3 @ 5 percent .... a higher processor with 1 GB of RAM would be a more visible gain enough! Around 10% @ 15 in my opinion!

The problem is not the Ram, but the processor and the FSB speed that is too slow. You can improve short-term rate if you have a 5400rpm hard drive by putting a 7200RPM but even that ..
