Removing $NtUninstall folders to regain disk space
Is there a proper way of removing these folders that date back several years
to regain some disk space? I notice each of these folder have a KB# and a
date stamp. Is it safe to say that those folders prior to 2008 can be
deleted since these are very old patches that on the system and we don't plan
to uninstall them anyway since the server is running OK without any problems?

Those files/folders are used if you want to uninstall an update. If you
are 100% sure you won't need them, delete away. If you are as paranoid
as I am, you will burn them to a CD/DVD (or external hard drive) and
*then* delete them....

Hello Chipmunk,
Yes, you can delete them if you are sure no update needed to be removed.
Or move them to another location or burn it to disk and in case that you
need them you can just copy them back. If you remove the folders and use
the add/remove programs link to the deleted ones you get a question to remove
the link because it can not find the uninstall files.

Chipmunk
Yes you can as posted above but do not delete the $hf_mig$ folder that they are in.
That folder itself is needed
