graphic card problem

hi everybody i have a graphic card installed on my system its nvdia 5 series wat i did was after doing some work i switched off my system and turned on after some 1 hour after that my monitor is not turning on my system was running properly when i removed the plug which was connected to graphic card and put it on to the system then tne monitor turned on.. then i again switched the plug back to graphic card the monitor didn't turned on i even checked all the cables and connections were perfect i even removed the graphic card and put it back the monitor didn't turned on wats the problem here......plz advise.......
dual core prosr
1 gb ram
256 mb graphic card fx5500 nvidia

hi,
This doesn't sound like a monitor problem. Can you test the monitor on another computer?or try to check with different card.the problem is related with your computer.
