Problems between the Graphic card and motherboard
I have a big problem with my PC since yesterday
At startup, the BIOS is 1 long beep and 3 (or 2 dependence) short beep the screen stays black no video. The record indicates manufacturer or a graphics card problem or a problem of RAM. (AWARD BIOS)
So I tried my card in another PC and surprise it works.
I tested a graphics card from another PC in the mine, it works.
For doubt I changed the power supply I went for a 550W to 500W, the same problem.
I tested the memory on another PC, they work.
It's nothing to understand, I can not find what is wrong, it is always, my mother and my graphics card works separately but not together ...
I made no less than 3 Clear CMOS, I updated the BIOS.
Thank you,
My config:
Processor => 4800 + dual AMD socket AM2
HKC 550W
Motherboard => Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe WIFI
Graphics Card => GFORCE 8600 GTS
RAM => DDR2 CORSAIR 6400 (2x1giga)
Win XP
Re: Problems between the Graphic card and motherboard
remove all application from motherboard (USB (front) Firewire, audio (front) etc.) It may be a short circuit.
Re: Problems between the Graphic card and motherboard
I was disassembled in the PC then go back, I tested a different motherboard, and a graphics card and everything works.
My graphics card does not work with my motherboard but independently of each other they work.
Re: Problems between the Graphic card and motherboard
Well it seems to me that it is rather a problem of graphics card, even if that does not work only in your PC is a good argument resumed, took another brand.
Re: Problems between the Graphic card and motherboard
I think rather a problem of voltage, check the references of the port voltage of the graphics card on the motherboard and the graphics card, then if they are different, you will have to choose another card graphic, or see a change in voltage bios (if possible), I had a similar case, and we had to change the graphics card
