Intel releases the Alpha 2 of Moblin
"Intel continues to develop open-source operating system intended to solve Netbook and MID, which now publishes the first alpha version"
If so appointed Netbook represent the phenomenon of the moment and certainly in between 2009, Intel is confident that soon the MID (Mobile Internet devices) will make their appearance and success will be at least comparable. Precisely in this perspective, the giant American leader in the development of CPU, continues to believe strongly in the Moblin project, the operating system designed ad hoc to meet the needs of a MID.
New features introduced in Moblin 2, which, based on Fedora, are also meeting the wishes of many users of Netbook: the official release note is made of technology "fastboot", intended to speed up the time startup, as well as a network manager with custom development for interface graphics.
The new distribution of Moblin for Netbook and MID can be downloaded.Intel provides a live image from 280MB that can be easily mounted on USB key and start.

Very interesting! The first is that some testing, put a few comments! And even better than with hibernation, which will continue to prefer to shutdown, since that allows you to remove the feeding programs, leaving open, unsaved documents, etc. ..

Remember, Fedora, Ubuntu on the contrary, leads innovation in Linux. And innovation is not always usability and ease of use (talking about Ubuntu).

Apart from being based on fedora do not necessarily mean that it is a fedora and some just Modd.
but frankly we do not find anything so exceptional how to make it to her and it is normal that knowing the detailed know how to build around the car to make it to the maximum performance
Re: Intel releases the Alpha 2 of Moblin
I was talking about Fedora, not Moblin. It has however Moblin boot times as low as using the "20secondsStartup" which will be included in Fedora 11.
Then you excuse but context the statement to be distributed when Borrow script boot / shutdown, packet manager and layout of the directories and some typical utility remains little that is distinctive. Everything else is incidental. If it is based on Fedora it is based on Fedora, no that does not mean necessarily that it is a fedora rather Modd.
Most distributions that are based on other, different tools have some default, a recompiled kernel with the default parameters and all the different artworks changed. For the rest use the whole stuff from the projects completed fathers.
