hi i am using internet from home with broadband i also have dial-up internet connection. some time when i am offline the dial-up connection pop up frequently. i dont know why this happening please any one can help me to find out the problem and its solution ??thank you.
hi its might due to new install software which require internet connection for some reason, and for that you by mistakenly set dial-up as default connection. so just make other connection default with configuration.
To prevent automatic dialup box, turn off the Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Service. which creates a connection to a remote network whenever a program references a remote DNS or NetBIOS name. To disable this service, try these
- Right click My Computer icon, choose Manage/Services and Applications/Services
- In the right pane, select Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and double click
- Use the Startup type drop box and choose Disabled.

i am not sure for your problem but some time such request occurs frequently due to virus effect also so scan your computer for virus. if virus is not present check other aspect .
try this
Go to Start>> Run. Type in: services.msc [Enter] or click OK.
The "Services" window will now be displayed.
In the right pane you will notice an alphabetical listing of the services.
Scroll the list to find; Remote Access Auto Connection Manager.
Once found, double click it. You will notice a drop
down menu next to "Startup type:" .
Open this dropdown menu and select "Disable". Click OK to exit. Exit the Services window.
Mine would not stop because Telephony depends on it???
