HP DVD840 reader does not read the original DVD
Hello,
Everything is in the title. I did acquire a HPdvd840 drive recorder, with which I very serious, but I just find that not reading DVDs. I rented a the other day, I wanted to pass ... and nothing. Once introduced into the DVD player, nothing happens ... but then nothing ... and if I "search" the file via my Power DVD, he said that the drive is empty ... does it something to start somewhere?
thank you in advance!
Re: HP DVD840 reader does not read the original DVD
Hello, check that powerDVD is in disk mode and not file, otherwise it will seek to open the files one by one dvd instead of consider as a video disc with menu, etc ...
The icon is often a hard disk in the interface. If the reading area was not chosen in the first reading, it should also require the setting.
Re: HP DVD840 reader does not read the original DVD
But my opinion is not my PowerDvd that crap, because even my Gomplayer or Windows Media Player does not respond ... I think that the drive recorder ...
Re: HP DVD840 reader does not read the original DVD
It's possible, but to make sure these should be some checks.
Is this the area has been resolved to the first reading of a video? If this is not the case, it can read anything.
Re: HP DVD840 reader does not read the original DVD
Obviously it's ok selected "For any type of file" ...
Is that enough?
I only worry I have is that when I load a DVD in this famous player, nothing happens, but then nothing;
Previously, I turned at least a little faster, making the noise ... but then radio silence, just a small light flashes ...
Thank you for your patience!

If the file browser windows can not read the DVD is that:
The firmware might be to review
but
I think the lens (and electronics) is HS.
