Software For Old Media Center PC

I have a pentium 3 that I turned into Home theater PC(HTPC) but I have trouble finding a suitable software that would allow me to do what I want.

My main use will be as follows.

- Videos (divx, xvid etc ...)
- Music
- Photos
- Emulation

What would be the best choice, in your view, taking into account the specifications of my machine? What about people who have already mounted this kind of config with an old pc?

From my side I tried some software like HTPC and mediaportal but I find it hard to be convinced by one or the other. MediaPortal is not evil but rather the basic interface is a bit austere, is a bit better but I find it extremely difficult after a set that may be me who does not make me the so good I do not know.

I await your suggestions.
