Crysis Warhead - won't start up

Hi,

So looking forward to playing this but one little problem the game will not start up. The game won't really start up - I gets the EA logo and the other intro screens for the core duo logo, nvidia, and then it goes to a black screen with a green arrow and music plays which i expect is the main menu for the game but just black...same thing with wars as well and i have tried to play warhead in dx9 and no such luck going the route. I uninstalled warhead last night and installed it again this morning and still the same thing. I have dx10 but not sure what version I have. Any help in getting this to run right would be appreciated!

System Model: Dell XPS420
IntelCore 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 3GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

You need to update the drivers. Okay, to update drivers :

1. Go into Control Panel
   
   
2. Click into System and Maitanence
   
   
3. Click on "Update Device Drivers" under Device Manager and choose which drivers to update.

Do you by chance have a non traditional desktop resolution running?
Not 1024x768
1280x1024
1600x1200

Black Screen definitely sounds like the game is using an unsupported res for your monitor or graphics card

Game specs says 1680 x1050 try changing that.

try turning graphics settings down to lowest. try running single GPU mode(non X2), or running DX9 mode.(go into start>games>right click on warhead>customize, then move the "start DX9" up to the top and it will run in DX9).
