Audio Too Low
I have a Dell 1525 laptop running vista 32 bit home premium. It has a sigmatel stac audio card in it (I think). My problem is when I play cds or dvds in wmp max volume is too low sometimes on certain movies or songs. Does anyone know the steps I need to take to raise the volume level across the board?
I spent almost an hour letting a Dell tech seize control of my pc. He installed a Windows driver and increased the volume a little. It no longer says sigmatel audio in device manager.
All help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Audio Too Low
You have to remember that software plays a huge part. The hardware knows that the audio is there, but the audio levels are only numbers when they're read and it's up to the software's interpretation.
Which one did you download?
Try VLC Media Player
Check whether using this media player it gives the same problem becaused I used VLC player and i had very good experience with it.hope this also helps you.

Re: Audio Too Low
Well its quite simple solution.
If you are having this problem in case of only some audio & video files then its because by default the volume is low for the files. You will need to increase the sound for those clips manually using some audio / video software.
