Migrate SBS 2003 to SBS 2008 w/ Roaming Profiles & Folder Redirec
I am having SBS 2003 installed and am upgrading to SBS 2008. I am also using both roaming profiles and folder redirection and I am not clear on the migration process. The SBS 2003 server is going away so, everything is moving to the SBS 2008 server. The guide of migration is not so clear about the process with the type of configuration, so does the user migration wizard actually move the roaming profile data to the new server? With SBS2008, do the roaming profiles go in \\sbs2008\UserShares or somewhere else? I don't understand when to configure folder redirection on the SBS 2008. Does the migration wizard move the users files from the old server to the new? Thanks for any help.

I dont know much about 2008 but I think that you can try to move your roaming profile data manually, to the path of your choice, but not in the same folder as your user shares, you should never mix and match this data now. So, in my opinion you must always set up folder redirection via your own policies and not the built-in SBS ones.
