Automatic unintended shortcuts - Windows XP
Hello,
Under Windows XP. Recently, I realized that when I try to open a file that I found with the "look" of the Start button, it automatically creates 2 shortcuts to the same file for 2 different locations of documents and settings. Is there a joke somewhere? Have I changed something in my basic configuration?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

Good, probably the folder "recent" (Start Menu / document), which lists recently opened files, regardless of the program, here is one. (c: \ Documents and Settings \ [your account] \ recent \)
The other I do not see well.

Hi Fleming
Thank you for your reply.
Indeed, the first shortcut is located in C: \ Documents and Settings \ me \ Recent
The second resembles it:
C: \ Documents and Settings \ me \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Office \ Recent
What seems odd is that I can not find these files in my computer. How can this happen?
Re: Automatic unintended shortcuts - Windows XP
Ok, the second is the office, which has its own system of "recent." So this is normal. These are shortcuts that you can not find? (the extension is. LNK) . The files themselves (to what the shortcuts point) may have disappeared in the meantime, displaced or otherwise, which is normal. In any case no concern to, the functioning from Windows and Office, they create shortcuts. Others write to a file. Ini, it's "clean" I find, but good ...
