Call of Duty 4 graphics issue

Hi all,
I just bought a new Radeon 4870 and I installed COD4 on my computer. Now here's the kicker: none of the graphics options will let me go past Normal settings.

My choices are between

• Off
• Low
• Normal

And that's it. What the hell?

Is it only with Cod4 or with also other games? This could be caused by the graphics memory, running too hot. Could you check the temperatures on the card? (Rivatuner or Ntune)

I also have this on normal. Cannot change it,I also had it on 8800GTS so don't panic graphics without that is no much better
