It also says no audio device under the volume panel. I don't see what's wrong because I had sound before so I don't know what could have happend.
Re: Sound just stopped working
hi,
Most likely you need to install drivers for your sound card. To confirm this, please check your device Manager (right-click My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager) for unknown/improperly installed devices.
Please visit you computer manufacturer’s website, and download drivers along with the installation instructions.or try to reinstall wmp.
Re: Sound just stopped working
That sounds like a driver issue with the sound card. Try re-installing the driver and see if that fixes it.

To enable sound for the line-in connection
- Open Audio Devices and Sound Themes by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Sound.
- Click the Playback tab, click Speakers, and then click Properties.
- Click the Levels tab, and then, under Line In, click the Mute button to enable sound for the line-in connection.
Re: Sound just stopped working
Are you having issues with sound when booted to Windows or OS X? If it is on Windows, re-run the bootcamp drivers disk installer and reboot. If it is on OS X, try running disk utility from the OS X restore DVD (insert disk, then reboot and hold down C to boot from the disk).
