Allocating RAM to graphics card
Hello.
I have a laptop (I do not think that amount to the model, but just in case: ASUS PRO52L) and have read in some forum that could be allocated from the RAM for the video card (you know, what the ads that tell you "Up to 1024MB" but actually has 128 dedicated and the others out of the ram ... for example) because I want to know how much I can do ... (and can) spend the ram to the video card. ..
thank you very much and a nice greeting.
PS: the graphic is the Intel GMA X3100 with Intel chipset 945m
Thank you
Re: Allocating RAM to graphics card
They are not only dedicated 128. The chipset have 8MB dedicated DDR, the rest is the handle of RAM. As limps meets in the BIOS.
Re: Allocating RAM to graphics card
There are also dedicated in memory of the portable graphics ...... : S
For example, the 8800 GT (the laptop is on ...) has 256 dedicated and then you can have up to 1024 shares ...
