Dell 1600n is not recognized...

I recently had a paper jam and removed it - then when i tried to connect it to my computer - it would not recognize the printer.

I have tried this on several other computers and same problem.

Tried reinstalling software and changing USB cables all which it still does not get recognized.

Everything else works fine - faxes, copying, scanning to copy, etc. - but cannot get any computer to recognize this printer.

Should I junk it or is there any simple fix I am missing?

I have tried researching the web and cannot find an answer.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

If you have a printer attached to your computer, you can share it with anyone on the same network. It doesn't matter what type of printer it is, as long as the printer is installed on your computer and directly attached with a universal serial bus (USB) cable or other type of printer cable. Whoever you choose to share the printer with will be able to use it to print, provided they can locate your computer on the network.

Which OS have you installed on your DELL laptop,because that also does matter in the sharing printer.
