Problem With DVD Writer

Nowadays I've been having trouble with my DVD writer, it keeps on firing Windows Installer despite reinstalling the software each time it boots up, it then asks for a file that doesn't exist in the temporary location which it created.

Can anyone tell how to stop it, is there a flag setting which has triggered it.

Try finding the required file on the internet and save it on disk then just point the installer to the file location when it asks for.

Have you Updated your Windows if not do it.Before doing that completely uninstall the DVD drivers and any burning software that you installed, reboot, then re-install the DVD drivers and software.
You can also try running a Disk Scan it may help you.
