GeForce 8600GT problem in Dell XPS M1530 Laptop

Hello,

My problem is:
Recently purchased a laptop in the XPS M1530 Dell website.
Everything works very well except the video card, with the games, where a few small pauses as 1 second, continuing for about 10 seconds and returns to make the break. This is constant throughout the game, which makes it somewhat uncomfortable how to play.
It happens in every game that I tested, PES 6, GTA Vice City, Call of Duty 2 and FIFA 09, will see that as games are not very new (except FIFA) nor too applicants, and even reducing resolutions and quality of the graphics presents the same problem.

I tested both Vista and XP, changing drivers, upgraded the bios and nothing.

How come? What do you think that might be the problem?

What are your system specifications?

Core 2 Duo t5750
2Gb of Ram 667 MHz
HDD 160 GB SATA 5400 rpm
Geforce 8600GT 256Mb
Intel Wireless 3945ABG

With the Everest and the GPU-Z, check the temperature of the GPU. How mark (C) when you play?

What version of BIOS upgrade?

Both the GPU-z everest as I brought temperatures between 75 and 80 º C. I upgrade the bios of the laptop version to the A11

Yes I plug the laptop to power. But like I'm going to ask given the charger to a friend who has another dell notebook, to see if there is the issue.

Hi, Im searching for a similar fix for the same problem when trying to play Quake Live, it freezes for anywhere between 1 and 10 seconds.
Framerate is fine , im getting upto 125 fps with a custom config.
I have updated all drivers/bios etc and am now totally stumped!
Ive spent the last four days looking for a fix and to no avail, any idea?

The temperatures are normal

I had problems with the A11 BIOS. Dell, a few days ago issued a new BIOS (A12) http://ftp.us.dell.com/bios/1530_A12.EXE

As for the performance without or with the cable plugged, it can be arranged via the control panel / power management / change there Profiles

Sorry it has taken so long to write as is the situation.
Well it turns out that I ended up calling the people support dell so they told me it could be the problem. I changed the motherboard and video, and they gave me another driver for the vga, besides that I already had updated version of the bios on the A12. The result was a significant improvement, but has not been corrected at all. In COD2 I continue with the same problem, and not in PES6, and it installed a game called Race Driver Grid that runs perfectly.

All this confuses me more, that does not seem to be a hardware problem (and there were replacement), the new driver served as something but not quite.
What do you think?
