Temperature without E8500 overclocked
Hi,
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500, not overclocked with Cooler Stock, my motherboard is abit IP35 Pro XE. My cabinet is the Treetop Command and is a fan of 25 cms to the side.
The doubt arises with the following: the utility uGuru abit EQ brand me as temperature 49 º C and the Core Temp 49 º and 44 º the Core 1 and 2 respectively. All this no-load, when you run the Prime 95 about 4 or 5 minutes the temperature as the Core Temp rises on the 75th and that it stop.
Is this normal? How can I let temperature rise?
if it is not normal, what 'can I do?
In advance thanks to all who can help me.
Re: Temperature without E8500 overclocked
That is definitely an error in the reading of temps from your mainboard ... I also had same in my IP35-PRO (without XE) with a E8400 E0 ... I had to use the bios 18 beta, something to remedy the problems ...
Re: Temperature without E8500 overclocked
Even so .. put a good cooler to the CPU .. Is the most recommendable. If you want to live a long time pro.
Re: Temperature without E8500 overclocked
Update the Bios, as the friend of above, it is known that some boards Abit go wrong in the delivery of securities of the temperature sensors. In addition verifies that the installation of the cooler is correct and put it a little better quality pasta sink.
Re: Temperature without E8500 overclocked
The other thing I can do to lower the temperature, voltage would soon see you walk on this process, I guess that is automatic and must be oscillating around the 1.3v, we could lower the Vcore to around 1.25 or even less from the fijándolo bios, should be able to function without problems either at a low voltage, even I would venture to say that some may go to 1.20v.
Try as I say, low voltage and send a stress test the procedure at least 1 hour or 30 minutes, if not fail, the temps should be down a little.
