cannot copy ISO file of 4gb
Hello,
I have on my computer with an iso file larger than 4 GB that I can not of course transfer to my external hard drive because its too large, the traditional message appears "impossible to copy, insufficient disk space etc etc. My question is whether I can extract the files, move files to the hdd and rebuild an image from files on the external hdd?
Thank you for your help!
Re: cannot copy ISO file of 4gb
I guess the external drive that you have is a FAT32 type system.
Re: cannot copy ISO file of 4gb
What you can do is either change your external drive's File system to NTFS so that you can copy files larger than 2 gb or above or else you can use winrar to compress the your file and split it into parts of 1gb each and then copy it to your external hard drive. Hope that helps
Re: cannot copy ISO file of 4gb
Go with the first option of converting Fat32 File System into NTFS File System. Go to start >> run >> type cmd >> type convert c: / fs: ntfs (c replaced by the drive letter for your external drive) and that should convert your external hard drive file system format.
