Media Player only plays audio

Hello All,

When I open a mpg file windows media player will only play the audio portion. This is strange because it just started doing this. I've never had a problem with the program before.
Also, I tried opening a wmv video file in windoes media player and that worked fine.
Any ideas?? Appreciate any help you can give...Thanks

I think,

you should reinstall the windows media player and check whether it is working properly or not.

It sounds as though you have lost the proper codec for using the MPG files. Try reinstalling the codecs.

I prefer K-Lite codec pack as it contains all the necesary codecs to read all formats.
