Problem intel E8500 processor

Hello I have to purchase a E8500 I have a motherboard gigabyte DQ6 in p35, but the concern is that a faith processor introduced the PC does not start, he tried several faith and cuts. I gave my old and working properly.
By factory settings I managed to run with the E8500 but when I arrive in the bios it tells me a problem of voltage and emerging bios.

So my question is what to do because I find strange to be forced to change the factory setting to run my CPU

I had the same problem between my p4 and my gap45 is an inconsistency. As mentioned by russell an update and normally 45nm CPU will be compatible.

I looked on the net, it is compatible 45 nm. just an update with bios and it must be good
