How to get rid of 1802 error on Thinkpad T30 ?
I have a Thinkpad T30 and I am having a problem. I get the error 1802. I do not have network card, and so I do not know what it is, but what is certain is that because of this my pc is not starting.
I saw that there was a small program (no-1802.com), which should solve this problem. I downloaded and burned onto a CD. My problem is that now from what I understand, we must start DOS to run the program. But I can not boot into DOS. When I do F12 "Choose Temporary boot device", the screen goes black, and nothing happens.
Do you have a solution? I am under Windows XP Pro, and I am not the administrator of this PC.

You must download and burn an ISO image of the program, then reboot simply by putting 1st CD player device in the boot priorities. With F12 at boot to select the unit startup.

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, as I mentioned in my first post, when I F12, the screen freezes.
I wonder if this is not the fact that I might not have administrator rights on this computer.

If that is the case then go to BIOS by pressing Del or F1, you will get the access to the BIOS. Then try to put the CD/DVD in the first boot device.
