Multimedia DDE problem under vista

I just buy an external hard drive multimedia MEMUP 500Go Mediadisc LX series. My problem is that I wanted to connect my PC to transfer data from my computer to my DDE (external hard drive) so I connected the USB cable, the computer recognizes the USB device, it starts a automatic but can not find anything and therefore it does not work. DDE with an installation CD provided to me but there's only drivers for Windows XP. On the site there are strong that there is no need to install drivers on Vista.

Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools, Computer Management.
Tab "Storage" -> "Disk Management" -> Disk XX (XX varies) -> right click -> properties.
