Hi, I have a USB card reader in which i use different cards like smartmedia/ xD, compact flash, MMC/ SDMS / MS PRO.
in safely remove hardware icon, usually when i right click it it comes up with removable disks h i j k, i. recently i put in an SD card to copy some pictures. and then use the safely remove hardware icon to disconnect.
when i removed it safely, all the other one disappeared, and now the 4 usbs on the front of the pc doesn't pick anything up anymore!
Please help me.
Hey did you tried rebooting your computer ? That should get the card readers to register again. You could also go into your device manager and search for new devices, it should find them and re-enable the drivers.
you have anything to worry about. These are typically USB or flash drive type of devices. If you plug them back in the system will recognize them automatically. you have not disabled them permanently.
Hi, to solve you problem do this. go to control panel; System; Hardware Tab; Device Manager; Universal Serial Bus Controllers. See if any have a warning next to them. This will give you some insight as to what is wrong. You may need to right click on any faulty ones and try to update the drivers, which may have been corrupted.
