Uninstall Norton Internet Security
I want to uninstall Norton Internet Security because it has expired on the laptop of a friend under Vista. After several searches I found the Norton Removal Tool utility on the Symantec site but I need more precision:
- It must be done in safe mode?
- We must first close Norton by the small icon next to the clock?
- Is that everything that I should need to uninstall it?
I have read a little about it that uninstalling this suite is difficult, but I want to know from you whether someone have succeeded with this utility. I need your advice and experiences especially because this is not my computer, so I can't do any mistakes!

Re: Uninstall Norton Internet Security
I have already downloaded the utility to which your link sends me, I just wanted some clarification, including whether to disable Norton before using Norton Removal Tool (which I am presuming as yes).
Re: Uninstall Norton Internet Security
To use this tool:
- Get it on the desktop
- Run it by double-clicking on its icon
- Read the home page and click "Next"
- Check "I accept this license agreement" and click on "Next"
- A vaguely garbled text appears on the screen. It is a measure of security
- Type the characters in the text box
- Click "Next" and on "Next"
- The cleanup begins and it can not be stopped ...
