Arrival of the first hybrid disc Blu-ray DVD
The firm PonyCanyon should proceed as early as February to launch the first hybrid disc Blu-ray / DVD, which have the interest to operate in both a DVD player with a Blu-ray deck.
These discs, for which there is a certification process in the Blu-ray Disc Association, offered on one side three layers of data. The first meets the requirements of Blu-ray format and offers a capacity of 25 GB Then two layers, a respective capacity of 4.7 GB, which store information so that they can be read at using a traditional DVD player.
The area can store 25 GB is separated by a layer DVD semi-reflective film, which will return the light emitted by blue diode laser of a Blu-ray, but missed the red laser DVD player.
Supposed to allow those who have not yet Blu-ray to build a library of films they can read it in high definition when they acquired the necessary equipment, these discs hybrid Blu-ray DVD may find their audience if their price does not exceed that of a single Blu-ray.

good idea, if prices will be less. Other wise i'll prefer DVD only

a Bluray player, i think that will be of really much cost. I'm happy with my DVD player.
