You could begin by describing the project and then a logo will come that describes your company.
I suggest you do a search on the logo itself and see examples already made.
It must be said that a logo is done not in bitmap and vector. For that you have to use a vector-editing program such as Illustrator and not a publisher of bitmaps as photoshop.
Condordo the photoshop are the name suggested used to edit the image. Using the Corel is simpler to Illustrator. Regarding the work itself, see if there are undertakings of the sort, search their logos and you'll get ideas, then do something original.
Logo represents the company and take a good read and understand by seeing it.
